We downloaded the 700 MB live CD ISO file: once burned to a disc - as usual with Linux Mint - allows you to boot from the CD and test the operating system without installing. You of course, pay a time penalty for this, and once when we start the distribution of high, double-click Install Linux Mint 8 icon on the desktop.

I also use CenOS it exists to provide a free enterprise class computing platform and strives to maintain 100% binary compatibility with its upstream distribution.
