I have recently upgraded Mysql version on my cPanel loaded box. I could successfully upgrade the version but some PHP application (specially login form) are not working. They are not accepting the username and password which were working fine on Mysql 4.0.

Additionally, I am getting below mysql error in some application:

Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

I am not sure what I did wrong? can someone help me to resolve this problem?

Thanks,

John

Hi,

I hope the below URL will help you to fix the problem:

http://www.digitalpeer.com/id/mysql

You are facing the problem because the latest version of MySQL is using different method to store the password.
