In first day China got 4 Gold (2 in Shooting + 1 in Weightlifting + 1 one Diving )... good start for China.

Chen Xiexia of China has set an Olympic record in the Clean and Jerk with 117kg. She got the Gold medal in Women's 48 kilogram Weightlifting competition.

India got first Gold medal in Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Bindra Abhinav won the Gold medal in shooting 10m Ari Rifle.
