cPanel/WHM

Hi,

I am facing a weird in my WHM. I am able to login to my WHM but when I try to change the root password from WHM I get the below message:

Results of Password Change

The password for 'root' could not be changed because: Sorry, the user root is currently suspended. Changing the user's password would unsuspend the account.
-----------------------------------

I have latest released installed on the server. cPanel version 11.24.4-R33609.

What could be the problem? I have never faced this problem in the past.

[cPanel/WHM Configuration]

In cPanel server, cPanel creates a file in /var/cpanel/suspended/ folder for each suspended users. Make sure there is no file for root in this directory.

Yes, there was a file called root in that directory. I had removed it and then I was able to reset the root password from WHM.
