Google announced via Twitter, such that public status updates from Facebook are now included in the search engine's real-time search feature, which means the largest social network in the world is getting play in Google's real-time search alongside Twitter, MySpace and other search engines.

There are only some updates from Facebook and these pages are being indexed; which is inclusive of links, photos, videos, status updates shared by the page owners. Any Facebook update is shared publicly. The results from Twitter and other places are not only from branded sources.

This indicates that brands need to be favored well for Facebook appearances in Google real time search results and possibly in real-time search results in general. Facebook is now not dominating the results, but it is bound to get changed with social networks available on web. The profiles of web hosting companies will also get more exposure.

Many brands, which do not have Facebook pages are likely to consider a best reason for exposing themselves to the world. The marketing point of view can be supported for the companies to get popular on search engines.
The real time search results for Google will be available on Facebook, MySpace, Twiter, Google Buzz, FriendFeed, Jaiku, Identi.ca, TwitArmy, Google News links, Google Blog Search links, new web pages, and freshly updated pages. At this point, Google generally only shows the real-time results for newsy/trending topics.
